REALM, Chief Strategy & Informatics Officer

Welcome Donavan Cheng and Thank You Jacob Hesterman

With a strong foundation in place, we continue to move forward to the next phase of our growth, which will advance the field of integrated diagnostics and deliver on the promise of precision medicine. To support that growth, I’m pleased to welcome Donavan Cheng, the new Vice President of Analytics Omics. Donavan will lead a team of bioinformaticians and data scientists responsible for leveraging omics data to make important biological and clinical discoveries that inspire new products and provide customers with deeper insights to help them make more informed decisions.

Donavan has extensive experience in bioinformatics/genomics. Prior to joining REALM, he served as Senior Director for Bioinformatics at Guardant Health, where he led bioinformatics and software development efforts for their Minimal Residual Disease product portfolio. He also worked as Director of Product Management for Illumina, where he was responsible for the germline product portfolio. Donavan received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The John Hopkins University School of Medicine.

It is with great appreciation for his contributions that I also share the news that Jacob Hesterman is leaving our organization to pursue other interests.

Fourteen years ago, a few visionaries including Jacob saw the opportunity to transform health care through innovative imaging applications and informatics. That vision became Invicro, and with his guidance the company became a leader in providing solutions for drug discovery and development. With an outstanding history of success, Jacob brought his experience to REALM, where he helped create the foundation for integrated diagnostics by overseeing the development of our data and applications platform.

Please join me in thanking Jacob for his contributions and welcoming Donavan to the team.
