International expansion is a key growth opportunity for REALM IDx, and our colleagues at Konica Minolta REALM (KMR) are focused on leading the way in Japan. With initiatives that include construction of a new lab in Hino, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) submission of a BRCA test, and a strategic collaboration with the University of Tokyo, the team is working hard to realize the opportunities in this market.

To lead their organization, we are excited to welcome Junji Tashiro as the new incoming President of Konica Minolta REALM. With more than twenty years of global leadership experience in the pharmaceutical, life science and consumer industries as part of Otsuka Pharmaceutical, Junji brings unique expertise in organizational transformation and operational excellence. When asked about what drew him to KMR, Junji said,

Twenty years ago, the term precision medicine seemed like such a distant concept, but today it’s a reality.
